The man pictured above is Anatol Josepho: inventor of the Photo Booth! We think he’s a pretty neat guy. Anatol was a Siberian immigrant who traveled the world, eventually landing in New York City & selling his photo booth patent for $1 million on March 28, 1927. He died in 1980 in Southern California. Talk about the American dream! (Read more about him here. He led such a cool life!)

We started The Majestic Photobooth Company with the hope of keeping the classic vibe alive in a digital world. We are so inspired by the original photo booth and people like Anatol.  We wanted to share some of our favorite vintage photo strips in honor of the days gone by. Check ‘em out.

Ahh, TRL. I know I wasn’t the only one to rush home from school, flip on MTV, wish I was holding up a sign for JC Chasez in Times Square & wait patiently to see who made it to #1.

My thoughts usually went something like this: Carson Daly is kinda cute. Man, these videos are edgy. NSYNC is clearly better than the Backstreet Boys. Britney is awesome, Christina is scandalous & why am I supposed to care about Jessica Simpson? Why am I watching this weird KORN video? (see also: Limp Bizkit.)

But one of the best parts of TRL was one almost lost from my memory forever. The Photo Booth. Thanks to Buzzfeed for posting this article yesterday featuring 40 Awkward Photos From The “TRL” Photo Booth. Personally I think it should be 40 AWESOME photos. Especially this one of blink 182.

Because let’s face it: blink > NSYNC + BSB combined.

Atlanta, we’re coming for you! We are happy to be a part of two sure-to-be-amazing events this weekend.

Venue 92 is a new event space in Woodstock featuring polished cement floors, exposed ductwork, all-brick exterior, interior brick accents & natural wooded ceremony space + more!  Brick accents & exposed duct work? Love! We are so excited to be partnering with Venue 92 for their Grand Opening Gala tonight & if you’ll be there, come say hello.

Since we’re all about keeping the party going all weekend long, we will also be at The Not Wedding event on Monday! We provided the photobooth fun in 2012 as well & are pumped to be a part of it again this year.

So, Atlanta friends, we hope to party with you this weekend. DC, Nashville, NYC, & Philly — you better live it up, too!

We are so excited to share these photos from the Scoop NYC Celebrating The AG Cher Coulter Collection event last week! You can read more about the event here. Fashion Week is always a crazy busy time for us, but we have so much fun. We love when we have the opportunity to completely brand our Majestic Booth — looks pretty rad, right?

Bonus pic: Elizabeth Olsen was there! Rocking an awesome hat + yellow coat. Bringing the brightness to this frigid winter. We love it!

We have really gotten into the Holiday spirit around here. Our office is decorated, our Christmas playlist is rockin’ and our bellies are full of salted caramel mochas. (The best seasonal drink in our opinion!) We have had the opportunity to be a part of several great holiday parties and we’re looking forward to closing out the last few weeks of 2012 in style.

Before we reach the home stretch, however,  we wanted to share some photos from Clint + Kristie’s festive DC wedding. We absolutely adore this shot taken outside of an Arlington firehouse. They also rocked our holiday themed props at their reception. So awesome! We gotta say, Clint + Kristie knocked their winter wedding outta the park. Congrats to you both.
